Lawyer: McDougle charges untrue
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- A Michigan lawyer for a University of Toledo running back arrested in a point-shaving scheme said the charges against Harvey "Scooter" McDougle Jr., aren't true. Attorney James Burdick of Bloomfield Hills was appointed to represent McDougle on a charge of participating in a bribery scheme to influence college football and basketball games. He said after meeting with his client Friday, "I'm confident he's been falsely accused." .
